How to get an japan tourist visa for Filipino passport holder



Step 1: Complete all basic requirements below and financial documents

1. Passport - Should be valid for more than 6 months with no broken lamination of the photo part and must have two blank pages

2. Authorization Form - 3 copies of signed Authorization Forms; giving us the permission to process the visa on your behalf 3. Identification Card - Provide photocopy of applicable ID like School ID, Senior Citizens ID, PRC or IBP card for lawyers, medical practitioners, accountants and professors

If there is no record in PSA, – Submit the “Certificate of Non-Record” from PSA together with the Marriage certificate from the Local Civil Registrar.

4. Application Form - Duly accomplished Visa Application Form on A4 size paper; erasure and correction tape is not allowed 5. Daily Itinerary - Schedule of daily activities indicating hotel address and contact number (see sample itinerary below) 6. Marriage Certificate - Original copy issued by PSA within 12 months from the date of application; exempted if applicant has old/used Japan Visa and must not have a guarantor

If the birth certificate is “late registration”, – submit original Baptismal Certificate and School Record(form 137) from high school or elementary

7. Photo - 2×2 colored photo taken within last 6 months in white background (no eyeglass, headbands, caps, etc.) 8. Birth Certificate - Original copy issued by PSA within 12 months from the date of application; exempted if applicant has old/used Japan Visa and must not have a guarantor

If the birth certificate is unreadable, has incomplete information, or no PSA record, – Submit the birth certificate issued by PSA together with a birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar



Financial Documents for Employee

1. Certificate of Employment - must include applicant’s position, date hired, compensation, office address, HR landline number & email address

2. Bank Certificate - Personal bank certificate with account type, current balance, account opening date, Average Daily Balance (ADB)

3. Income Tax Return or BIR Form 2316 - Photocopy of Income Tax Return or Form 2316 with BIR stamp


Financial Documents for Businessman

1. Business Registration & Permit - Photocopy of registration of business from DTI or SEC with General Information Sheet and photocopy of Business Permit

2. Bank Certificate - Personal bank certificate with account type, current balance, account opening date, Average Daily Balance (ADB)


3. Income Tax Return or BIR Form 2316 - Photocopy of Income Tax Return or Form 2316 with BIR stamp


If with Guarantor

1. Proof of Relationship - Original Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate of Guarantor and other certificate as proof of relationship between the applicant and guarantor

2. Financial Documents - Provide all financial documents of Guarantor (see list for Employee or Businessman)

3. Guarantee Letter - Signed Guarantee Letter (download form below)


Step 2: Submit your visa application in our office

Submit your documents via Courier

1. Visit the courier service near you 2. Fill-out the sticker or pouch that they will give you 3. Pay the courier service fee 4. call or e-mail us once you’ve sent the documents

* If you prefer for your passport to be sent back via courier, kindly inform your preferred courier service provider that you’d like to attach a return pouch for your documents.


Step 3: Pay for the visa assistance


Visa Assistance Fee: Php 900

Step 4: Claim your Passport


Visa Processing Time:

7-10 working days for first time travelers

5-7 working days for frequent travellers who visited OECD Countries within 5 year

*Kindly verify with our Documentation Officer if your passport has been released before visiting our office to claim your passport.

Visa approval is not guaranteed and is still under the final discretion of the consul.

Visa application time indicated is based on average application time. It is not guaranteed and may be delayed if additional documents are required by the embassy.
