Ready to go night-time shopping in Seoul? First, you have to know what stores are open and until what time at night. Here’s a list of places where you can shop at night!


1. Apgujeong Rodeo Street

Address: 65, Eonju-ro 172-gil, Gangnam-gu Nearest station: Apgujeong Station, Line 3, Exit 2 Operating hours: 11:00 AM – 3:00 AM Price range: ₩8,000 and up (approximately Php 345 and up)

2. Bamdokkaebi Night Market

Address: multiple areas Operating hours: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM (on Fridays and Saturdays, from March to October) Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

This night market is a bit different from the rest. It’s present for only two-thirds of the year and has many zones, each with their own vibe and theme. Bamdokkaebi night market stalls can be found in Yeouido, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Mokdong Stadium and Cheonggye Plaza.


3. Cheonggyecheon Stream

Address: Cheonggyecheon-ro, Yongsin-dong, Jongno-gu Nearest station: Gwanghwamun/Jonggak Station, Line 1, Exit 5 Operating hours: The area is open 24/7, but operating hours vary per shop. Price range: ₩500 and up (approximately Php 20 and up)

The market by Cheonggyecheon Stream is a lovely place because every night, the stream is lit up by dokkaebi or goblin lights. Enjoy some snacks from nearby stalls and food trucks and then relax by the stream before continuing with your shopping.


4. Dongdaemun Market

Address: Dongdaemun area Nearest station: Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Lines 2, 4, and 5, Exit 14 OR Dongdaemun Station, Lines 1 and 4, Exit 8 Operating hours: 11:00 AM – 3:00 AM (closed on Mondays) Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

Dongdaemun Market is composed of more than twenty malls and thousands of other stalls in the vicinity. It’s a heaven for night owls. To get the most of your Dongdaemun experience, make sure to visit its “Golden Triangle” which is made up of three malls: Hello APM, Doota, and Migliore.


5. Gwangjang Market

Address: 88 Changgyeonggung-ro, Jongno 4(sa)-ga, Jongno-gu Nearest station: Jongno 5-ga Station, Line 1, Exit 8 Operating hours: 8:30 AM – 11:00 PM Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

Gwangjang Market is the oldest market in the city. It’s known for selling gorgeous textiles and is one of the best places in Korea to buy traditional Korean clothing. There are lots of foods to sample as well.


6. Lotte Mart

Address: 432, Cheongpa-ro, Jung-gu Nearest station: Seoul Station, Lines 1 and 4, Exit 1 Operating hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 (closed on the second and fourth Sundays of the month) Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

The Lotte Mart is a large supermarket that sells everyday products, some clothes, and a whole lot of snacks. There’s a huge selection of Korean snacks to choose from in the supermarket. Best of all? You can head there for a midnight snack! The admission fee for adults is 9,000 won (about Php 420.00). For children, it ranges from 6,000 to 7,000 won (around Php 280.00 to Php 325.00), depending on their age.


7. Myeongdong Night Market

Address: Chungmuro 2(i)-ga, Jung-gu Nearest station: Myeong-dong Station, Line 4, Exits 6 and 7 Operating hours: 3:00 PM – 1:00 PM Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

Myeongdong market is lively when the sun is up and has the same energy and vibrancy when the night comes. To sample some great Korean snacks and find all kinds of products, Myeongdong night market is the place to be.


8. Namdaemun Night Martker

Address: 21 Namdaemunsijang 4-gil, Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu Nearest station: Hoehyeon Station, Line 4, Exit 5 Operating hours: 24/7 Price range: ₩1,000 and up (approximately Php 40 and up)

Namdaemun market has everything you could ever need. From clothes to everyday needs, to food, this market has it all. You just need to know how to look. Even better if you’re great at haggling!


9. Noryangjin Fish Market

Address: 674 Nodeul-ro, Noryangjin-dong, Dongjak-gu Nearest station: Noryangjin Station, Line 1, Exit 1 Operating hours: 24/7 Price range: ₩500 and up (approximately Php 20 and up)

If you can stand the smell, Noryangjin fish market is an interesting place to shop at night. In the market, you’ll see aquatic creatures of all kinds – both familiar and downright weird. If you’re hungry, you can buy some fresh seafood and head to the second floor of the place, where a restaurant can cook your purchase for you.

If you get hungry, there’ll be a lot of restaurants and stalls serving freshly-cooked trout in different ways.

Admission to this festival is free, but some attractions may require payment.


10. Shinsadong Garosugil Road

Address: 667-13 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu Nearest station: Sinsa station, Line 3, Exit 8 Operating hours: 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM Price range: ₩8,000 and up (approximately Php 345 and up)
