Boracay will no longer require swab test for fully vaccinated tourists

November 12, 2021

Are you planning to go on vacation soon? If you are, then I have great news for you!

You can now travel to Boracay without having to worry about needing a swab test. This is because the local government has announced that starting November 16, tourists who are fully vaccinated against COVID 19 will no longer be required to undergo a swab test upon arrival in Boracay.

In lieu of negative swab test results, vaccination certificates from VaxCertPH, the country's digital vaccine certification system, or vaccination cards provided by local LGUs would be required. Travelers also need to present their health declaration with a QR code.

This move is meant to increase tourist arrivals and open more businesses in time for the holidays.

Currently, 94% of the tourism workers are completely vaccinated. The island also has no active cases or sick patients for the past week.

With these recent changes, make sure to take advantage of these new rule and book a ticket as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on all the fun!
