Boracay will soon accept fully vaccinated visitors with no RT -PCR

Updated: Nov 18, 2021

Good news for all travelers!

Boracay Island will no longer require fully vaccinated tourists to undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR testing once the area has reached a vaccination rate of 100 % for tourism workers and local residents.

Tourists who have only received the first dose, however, must still present a negative RT-PCR result.

Currently, 95% of Boracay tourism workers have received their first dose, with 91% fully vaccinated, and 84% of residents have received their first dose, with 62% fully vaccinated.

This move is meant to revive the island's tourism industry. The average number of tourists per day is currently 700, compared to 6,000 per day prior to the health pandemic.

Don't worry guys, if there are any updates on Boracay, we will be sure to keep you updated with the latest news! Stay tuned!
